Chocolate Coconut Balls

I’ve been looking for a sweet treat that I can make for my friends and family.  Well first let me start off by saying that I love the flavor of coconut.  So now back to the dessert dilemma, I was looking for ideas that involved coconut.  Finally I stumbled on this recipe for chocolate coconut balls.

These chocolate coconut balls are so easy to make.  That’s one reason I wanted to share it with you guys.  The total prep time is around 5 minutes, seriously, it’s only 5 minutes!  Most of the time spent making these is going to be them cooling in the fridge, which is going to be 30 minutes.

What makes these so great is the way the coconut and chocolate pair together.  Add in the delicious and decorative chocolate drizzle and they not only taste good, they look good as well!  Because of the ingredients, these chocolate coconut balls are keto friendly, low carb, and also sugar free.

So now when you’re looking for a healthy dessert to make for your friends and family, this one can make the list.  Like I mentioned before, it really is one of the simpler desserts that you can make.

I always feel that the easier a recipe is to follow and make, the more likely I’m going to do it.  These chocolate coconut balls definitely have that going for them!


  • 3 cups no sugar added coconut
  • 4 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup vanilla sugar free syrup
  • 1/2 cup coconut cream
  • 1 cup sugar-free chocolate chips


  1. Grab your mixer bowl and combine the coconut, coconut oil, sugar free syrup, and the coconut cream.
  2. Put the mixer speed setting on medium and mix it for 3 minutes until all the ingredients are well combined.
  3. Get a medium cookie spoon or a tablespoon.  Scoop the mixture you just made onto a sheet pan that’s lined with parchment paper or a non stick silicone mat.
  4. Put the coconut bites into the fridge and let them cool and set for 15 minutes.
  5. In the microwave or a double boiler, melt your chocolate.
  6. Put the chocolate into a piping bag or a ziplock bag.  Cut the tip off the bag, drizzle and decorate the coconut bites.
  7. Put the coconut back into the fridge for another 15 minutes so the chocolate drizzle can set.
