You’ll enjoy every bite of this eggless edible cookie dough recipe. It takes only minutes to make and it’s a perfect sweet snack or dessert to make!

I just love to eat cookie dough even though the package always says not to.  I just can’t help it though.  I almost want to say I like the raw cookie dough more than the cookies themselves (don’t judge me LOL).  That’s why I’m such a big fan of this recipe for eggless edible cookie dough.

What makes this edible cookie dough recipe so good and frankly healthy for you to eat, is the fact that it has no egg in it.  The egg is the reason that the packaging always says don’t eat the raw cookie dough.  But most people ignore the health risk because it tastes so darn good!

This recipe for eggless edible cookie dough takes around 5 minutes of prep time, and total “cook” time is another 5 minutes.  There is no baking with this recipe, it’s all about combining the ingredients and mixing them all together.

The mini chocolate chips add such a sweet texture that you’ll enjoy with every bite.  I truly make this once or twice a month, but I try and resist the urge to make it more.  Even though there’s no eggs in it, I still want to make sure I don’t start to become addicted to this recipe…but to be honest with you…it’s pretty hard!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup salted butter softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup light brown sugar packed
  • 3-4 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour (heat treated)*
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ to ½ tsp sea salt
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Grab a small bowl and mix together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and sea salt.  Set that mixture aside for the time being.
  2. Now in a medium bowl, mix together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar with a hand held mixer.  You can also use a standing mixer if you want.  Mix them together until those ingredients are well combined (takes about 60 seconds).  Make sure you start on a low speed and increase it as you start to see the ingredients stick together.
  3. Add in 3 tablespoons of milk and vanilla extract.  Beat them on medium speed until well combined..
  4. Add the dry ingredients and mix them.  Start on low speed and increase it to medium-high until the ingredients are combined.  If needed, add an extra tablespoon of milk to reach your preferred consistency.
  5. Throw in the mini chocolate chips and stir them around until evenly distributed through the mixture.
  6. (If you had to use a hand held mixer, the cookie dough may look a little crumbly.  It’s not the end of the world, just press it together into a ball with your hands.  It will stick together just fine!)

Notes

*How to heat treat flour:

  1. You can bake it:  Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and spread out the flour evenly on a baking sheet.  Bake it for around 5 to 10 minutes or until the temperature reaches 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. You can microwave it:  In a microwave safe bowl, throw in the flour and heat it on high for 60 to 65 seconds, or until it reaches 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
